Hertfordshire Garden Machinery has become a Farmtrac dealer, the first in the UK for the tractor brand, and cites build quality and good retained margins for dealers behind the decision.
Farmtrac is the latest compact tractor brand to the UK market, it launched to great acclaim at LAMMA 2020 through UK distributor Reesink Agriculture, and it didn’t take long for word to spread about the potential of the brand in the UK marketplace.
Hertfordshire Garden Machinery’s managing director Tim Wall, who’s been in the business for 22 years, says: “The compact tractor market is very competitive and it’s an area we’ve been looking to expand into for some time.
“I heard of Farmtrac through a friend in the industry who suggested that it would be a good addition to our product portfolio and knew it was a market we were looking to break into. I visited distributor Reesink’s HQ in St Neots to view the tractors and was immediately impressed with the intuitive operation, build quality and appearance of the machines, and when I learnt the prices, I was shocked at the value for money they offered and with good retained margins for dealers.”
It didn’t take any of us long to realise the great potential Farmtrac will have in the UK marketplace and we’re delighted that dealers are seeing the potential too. It brings more choice to the market sector looking for a competent ‘no-frills’ tractor range with substance at a great price.

Hertfordshire Garden Machinery, which was formed in 2012 by Tim and his wife Lyndsey, has expanded year on year thanks to a strong sales strategy and business acquisition. A team of nine work at the premises in Bramfield, Hertfordshire in sales, service, spares and transport, with Tim saying: “We have a wealth of industry knowledge and a good reputation within the domestic and small commercial machinery sector locally and would like to apply our skills into a broader market. Having Farmtrac machines on offer at such competitive prices will enable us to grow our business, and I’m looking forward to forming a strong partnership with Reesink to mutually help launch the Farmtrac brand in the UK.”
Steven Haynes, tractor sales manager for distributor Reesink, says: “It didn’t take any of us long to realise the great potential Farmtrac will have in the UK marketplace and we’re delighted that dealers are seeing the potential too. It brings more choice to the market sector looking for a competent ‘no-frills’ tractor range with substance at a great price.”
Farmtrac’s cost-effective, intuitive operation, comprehensive and innovative nine-strong smart-looking 22-113hp tractor range, which includes the industry-first compact all-new all-electric model, offers a lot more than just a practical solution for most small, mid and heavy-duty tasks.
They come with the added benefit of up to a five-year robust warranty across the range, as Tim concludes by saying: “The final cherry on the cake, if one was needed, was the warranty on offer is excellent and will help sell the machines. It isn’t often that a great product at a fantastic price comes to the market, especially one already so competitive!”
